Electromechanical linear drive with coaxial drive arrangement and three drive variants.
The ZIMM ZA-I inline actuator is used for locking, positioning and adjusting. With the inline principle, the actuator, drive unit and motor are arranged on a common axis. Unlike the ZA industrial actuator with its drive arranged at right angles, no drive unit protrudes laterally from the lifting axis.
Which assemblies make up the ZA-I?
- Actuator: Generates the linear lifting movement. Trapezoidal screws (Tr) or ball screw drives (KGT) are available as screw drives. The screw is located inside the housing.
- Drive unit: Transmits the rotary motion to the screw. Available in three different variants. As a direct drive (DA) with a gear ratio of 1:1, as a single-stage planetary gear (P1) with a gear ratio of 6:1 and as a two-stage planetary gear (P2) with a gear ratio of 36:1.
- Motor or geared motor: Is connected to the drive unit; IEC flange-mounted motors are standard, while other motor concepts can be implemented via suitable connections.
Which versions are available?
The ZA-I series comprises four sizes: 25, 50, 100 and 200 kN. The DA, P1 and P2 drive variants are provided for all four sizes. Depending on the size, different trapezoidal screws and ball screw drives are available. The maximum input speed is 3000 min⁻¹.
What does this mean for installation?
The coaxial design does not require a drive protruding at right angles, but takes up installation space along the lifting axis. For integration, the dimensions of the actuator, drive unit, motor, stroke and add-on parts must be considered together.
