The trapezoidal screw drive is robust, inexpensive and the right choice for most adjustment tasks. Spindle and nut are subject to friction and must be properly lubricated. Normally suitable for applications up to max. 20 % duty cycle.
Most single-thread trapezoidal screws are statically self-locking. (This means that the load is held when the motor stops without running back. This is particularly useful for suspended loads or applications where loads are pulled upwards).
Trapezoidal screws are also available in stainless steel on request. Another aspect is the safety catch nut systems, which are available in trapezoidal thread design. No service life calculations are possible for trapezoidal thread drives.
