For a secure and free of play connection between motor and screw jack, ZIMM recommends the following assembly sequence:

  • Attach the motor flange to the screw jack
  • Mount the gearbox-side coupling half on the shaft
  • Insert the coupling spider
  • Mount the motor-side coupling half onto the motor shaft
  • Place the motor onto the flange and fasten it
  • Axially position the motor-side coupling half free of play and fix it (or pre-position it)
  • Close the mounting opening in the flange
