ZIMM connecting shafts and couplings transmit the drive torque between two shaft ends. In multi-spindle lifting systems, several screw jacks or actuators can be connected via connecting shafts, couplings and bevel gearboxes to form a mechanically coupled drive train: all lifting points are then moved by a single drive and run mechanically synchronised. The size designation of the VWZ connecting shafts corresponds to the tube diameter in millimetres and is not an indication of the transmittable torque; decisive are the rated torque, the bore diameter of the clamp hub and the operating speed.
