## Internal screw drive, separate lubrication and ventilation according to the Installation position.

The screw of the ZIMM ZA-I inline actuator is located inside the housing and is protected against dirt, dust and water. The housing is made of corrosion-protected GGG, and the push tube is made of hardchrome- plated steel. The degree of protection is specified as a maximum of IP64.

### How are the screw drive, thrust bearing and planetary gear lubricated?

| Trapezoidal screw, ball screw drive and torsional protection | Grease lubrication; relubrication at the designated lubrication positions SP1 and SP2. The torsional protection is also lubricated via the screw lubrication. |

### What must be considered for relubrication?

Relubrication of the screw drive is carried out at the designated lubrication positions. SP1 designates the retracted position, SP2 the extended position; the lubrication positions must be maintained within ±2 mm. Lubricant quantities and intervals depend on the application. Automatic relubrication, for example with a PLC-capable lubricator, must be position-controlled; the opposite opening serves for ventilation and must be positioned at the top.

### How is the ventilation valve installed?

The ventilation valve is supplied loose with the ZA-I. Before commissioning, the highest-positioned sealing screw must be replaced by the valve. The position depends on the installation position. The ZIMM actuator instruction manual and the approved lubricants are authoritative for lubrication and maintenance.
