ZIMM specifies a maximum tilt angle of 3° for [self-aligning nuts (PM)](https://zimm.com/product/self-aligning-nut-pm/). Other nut types, such as standard travelling nuts or safety nuts, must be installed exactly perpendicular to the spindle axis.

- Self-aligning nut: max. 3° tilt
- Other nuts: mount perpendicular to the spindle
