For a secure and free of play connection between motor and screw jack, ZIMM recommends the following assembly sequence:

- Attach the motor flange to the screw jack
- Mount the gearbox-side coupling half on the shaft
- Insert the coupling spider
- Mount the motor-side coupling half onto the motor shaft
- Place the motor onto the flange and fasten it
- Axially position the motor-side coupling half free of play and fix it (or pre-position it)
- Close the mounting opening in the flange
