The spindle must be secured against rotation, as it is loosely screwed into the gearbox (worm wheel) and would otherwise rotate due to friction. This can be achieved either through the spindle connection to your construction (e.g. external guide) or internally by means of our [rotation protection VS](https://zimm.com/product/rotation-protection-vs/) in the protective tube.
